All Local Positions and many of your unit positions are up for election. Unit Chairs and Officers will be collecting nominations, and will count as the nominations 2nd. Local Officers will also be charged with accepting nominations from the membership.
The President has waived the attendance requirement that is stated in the Local Elections Manual, Art VII, Sect 9(b), which requires an eligible nominee to attend at least 1/3 of the eligible meetings of the last 24 months,(8). Since the Local has cancelled over 8 meetings, all members in good standing satisfy the attendance requirement.
Nominations will also be accepted at the hall, or mailed in postmarked by March 31st. The President or Financial Secretary will then verify that nomination and place them on the ballot.
We will have online MS Teams meetings in February, to select a nominations committee, and in March to ensure all Nominees are accounted for. However, these online sessions will not cover any other topics that are for members only.
